Progam Studi Sistem Informasi Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta kembali menyelenggarakan Kuliah Umum pada hari Selasa, 23 Oktober 2018. Kuliah umum yang bertajuk \u201cThe Development of Research Framework on the Use of ICT for Agriculture\u201d tersebut mengundang seorang pembicara dari negara tetangga. Beliau adalah Dr. Shafinah Kamarudin.<\/p>\n

Dr. Shafinah merupakan seorang Senior Lecturer dari Universiti Putra Malaysia yang mempunyai minat riset di bidang Artificial Intelligence, Expert System, Management Information System, dan Human Computer Interaction.<\/p>\n

Sesuai dengan tema kuliah umum, Dr. Shafinah menjelaskan tentang bagaimana membangun suatu framework penggunaan ICT dalam bidang agrikultur. Kuliah umum diawali dengan pemaparan Dr. Shalifah mengenai konsep dasar dari theory, model, dan framework serta perbedaan theoritical<\/em> dan conceptual framework<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\\\"\\\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Di pertengahan kuliah umum, Dr. Shafinah mengajak semua peserta kuliah untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam perkuliahan. Para peserta kuliah diminta untuk membentuk kelompok 3-4 orang. Kemudian Dr. Shafinah mengedarkan selembar kertas kosong pada masing-masing kelompok. Setiap kelompok diminta untuk menuliskan apa saja permasalahan nyata yang biasa dihadapi oleh para petani di Indonesia. Berdasar jawaban dari setiap kelompok, kemudian ICT apa yang bisa digunakan untuk menjawab permasalahan atau tantangan yang dihadapi petani di Indonesia saat ini? Beberapa contoh diantaranya adalah dengan menggunakan Image Processing, Big Data, IoT, Expert System, AI, Sensor, Decision Support System, dan lain-lain.<\/p>\n

Di akhir acara Ketua Prodi Sistem Informasi, Ibu Fl. Sapty Rahayu, ST., M.Kom memberikan cinderamata kepada Ibu Dr. Shafinah Kamarudin.<\/p>\n

Kuliah umum yang dihadiri oleh sebagian besar mahasiswa Sistem Informasi angkatan 2016 dan 2017, serta mahasiswa Magister Teknik Informatika ini cukup memberi gambaran kepada mahasiswa mengenai tahapan-tahapan metodologi riset yang baik dan benar. Semoga ini bisa menjadi bekal yang cukup bagi mahasiswa yang akan melakukan penelitian Tugas Akhir maupun Tesis \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
